TREKKING & HIKING TOURS
Although Ecuador is a relatively small country with the densest
population of any South American country

it offers many remote areas ideal for trekking and hiking excursions. We
offer hikes, which lead through beautiful scenery with a rich fauna and
flora. Our hiking programs from 1 day to several days take part in the
high altitude regions of the Andes mountains, passing glaciers
and high mountain peaks and in the Amazon tropical rainforest
region, hiking through primary jungle and climbing active
volcanoes. The treks and hikes are suited to everyone in fair physical
conditions and have the will to endure a few days away from
civilization and roughing it out in the wilderness. The high altitude
treks are also ideal for acclimatization purposes, if you are thinking
of climbing some of the high volcanoes and mountain peaks in the Andes.

All our treks
and hikes
in Ecuador

the capital Quito and end there again
and are accompanied by an English or German speaking guide. As all of those treks are in remote
areas, we employ
also native guides who live in those regions and know that particular country by heart. The reason for that is,
that in adverse weather conditions like dense fog, heavy rains, etc... we do not
get lost but also they provide much needed help in carrying our equipment or
taking care of the pack-horses, which are used on some treks.
In the price of the tours everything is included except park entrance
fees, payments to communities, your personal belongings, like hiking
boots, clothing, sleeping bag or mattress.
NOTE: All of the treks are explained in details before leaving on them
so you have an idea of their nature. If a trek has to be cut short because of
your wishes due of you feeling ill or exhausted or fed up by bad weather, there
will be no refund as all of the costs of the trek are already paid for.

On request by former guests who liked our trekking services in Ecuador
and asked for treks in other countries, we offer now trekking excursions
in Peru.
