Quito |
|
is the cultural
hotpoint of the country and has
various museums and exhibitions of interest. In the
old colonial center churches
and traditional buildings house expositions
of mostly religious and
colonial art whereas in the
modern city you find more
contemporary art shows.
The Equator
Line Monument Mitad del Mundo
on the outskirts of Quito also is
home to several exhibits. Do not
plan to visit museums on Monday as
most are closed on the first day of
the week |
